He didn't play up front. We played a christmas tree formation, so he was off the front in an attacking role with Downing.

It's all part of his master plan. I'm surprised no one has picked up on what he said after yesterday's game.

This is an absolute kick in the teeth to the owners and us supporters. The fact is he has single handedly thrown away umpteen points with some unbelievable decisions. And yesterday's formation was NOT an attacking formation. He should have gone last night.

I really cannot see this season ending very well for us at all and hopefully his four years at the club will come to an end and he'll take his Bolton clogger cunt pal Nolan with him...
Both have done what's asked of them but, after four years, it's time for them to move onto some poxy small northern club that will be more grateful for their services...

In a perfect world the Daves would announce that Sam's contract will not be renewed this week and that Kevin Nolan will be leaving at the end of the season.
I think then the fans would relax and Sam could be shown the appreciation he deserves and I think most people would be delighted to see Nolan come on late in a home game and notch his 100th Premiership goal.
The alternative is that things will get ugly and I think that is sad.

The answer is that Sam wants to give him every chance to score so that when he eventually does, it enables Sam to play him in another 50 games whilst being shit.
Expect when he does eventually score that his defenders on here will be talking about him being the greatest midfielder in living memory and how they were right all along. They will also say that Alex Song is shit.

I only saw the highlights on football first but didn't look like that to me Downing spent most of his time wide whilst nolan was playing

I don't think Nolan has any defenders anymore does he?
Even Allardyces supporters of which I was one until this season, have become frustrated with his bizarre choices and decision making.
Great at getting the players fit, although you might argue he pushed Carroll on the pitch prematurely which brought about his injury. But subs and starting line ups Baffling has to be the word most of the time.

All I can say is that Nene must be absolute rubbish if lard arse Nolan gets in front of him. I wonder how such a rubbish player like Nene got to play for some very good clubs including Espanyol, PSG & Monaco and has scored 139 career goals? Strange how lucky he must have been not to have come into competition for a place against Nolan before now....

Surely the question should be why did he play at all when he has done nothing in any game bar Chelsea at home this season? He cant move, he cant pass the ball, cant tackle and cant hold it up.
The only thing he seems to do is get in the ref/goalkeeper's face when it is required. Rory Delap could only throw the ball at Stoke yet he had more value for them than Nolan has for us, yet only the Fat Pig doesn't see that.
